Ian F. P. Green, Ph.D.

Ian F. P. Green is originally from Philadelphia. He has lived, studied, and taught in New York, Washington State, and Rhode Island, where he now resides.

His scholarly interests include American studies, horror fiction, American history, Charles Chesnutt, and Herman Melville.

At the college level, he has taught composition and writing, American and world literature, and digital humanities, along with special courses on horror, and the work of Herman Melville. He also teaches American history and literature in high school. Each year he gets one kid to really like the poems and songs of David Berman.

He has written and published fiction, along with award-winning scholarship in both the United States and internationally. Additionally, he has collaborated with fellow writers and artists to produce graphic novels.

He runs and parents and is thankful to the Philadelphia 76ers for teaching him to trust the process and then yell about the process.
